Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth president of America, the person to end slavery, surely you’ve heard of him. Anyway, I am here to tell you about how Abraham Lincoln became one of the most influential leaders to ever live.
Abraham Lincoln was born on the 12th of February 1809. In 1861, he was elected to be the 16th president of America. The Civil War started on the 12th of April 1861 between the United States and the Confederate States of America. Lincoln had one thing in mind, and that was to end slavery. In 1863, he issued the Emancipation Proclamation which declared that all slaves shall be free. The Civil War ended on the 9th of April 1865 with Lincoln being victorious.
April 14th 1865, Lincoln goes to the Ford’s Theater where he became the first president ever to be assassinated.
Despite the difficulties, Lincoln believed that he could make a positive change in the world. Abraham Lincoln is resilient, committed and responsible. He showed these qualities until the end. That's what makes him an inspirational leader.
