Little Red: Play
In fairy tales and fables, we made our drafts for our final project. This is my second draft. It is a play about Little Red Riding Hood.
Little Red
Characters: Narrator, Little Red, Mother, Wolf, Grandmother, Woodsman, Wolf 2
Narrator: Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful girl. Her grandmother gave her a lovely red cloak and that's why many call her little red. One day, her mother asked her to deliver some goods to her sickened grandmother.
Little Red: "Did you call me mother?"
Mother: "Yes darling, your mother is very ill. I want you to deliver these goods to her."
Little Red: "Yes mother."
Narrator: Little red riding hood went through the forest, she picked some flowers when suddenly...
Wolf: "Good morning Little Red, where are you off to, this early in the morning."
Little Red: "I'm off to my grandmother's house to deliver her some bread and honey and milk and..."
Wolf: "Does she live far from here, Little Red?"
Little Red: "No, not at all. She lives in a little house just across the forest."
Wolf: "Well then Little Red, I'm off, catch you later."
Narrator: Little Red, found some flowers and decided to collect them for her grandmother. Meanwhile, the wolf knocks on the grandmother's door.
Grandmother: "Who's there?"
Wolf: (soft voice) "It's me, grandmother, Little Red. I have brought you a basket full of bread."
Grandmother: "Come in my little angel. Just push the door."
Narrator: As soon as the wolf entered the house, he gobbled her up. He went into the grandmother's room and put on her gown. A few minutes later, Little Red arrived at grandmother's house. She knocked on the door.
Wolf: (soft voice) "Who's there?"
Little Red: "It's me grandmother, Little Red. I have brought you a basket full of bread."
Wolf: (soft voice) "Come in my little angel, just push the door."
Narrator: Little Red went into the house, there she found her grandmother lying in bed. She seemed a little odd.
Little Red: "Oh, what big ears you have, grandmother!"
Wolf: (soft voice) "All the better to hear you with."
Little Red: "Oh, what big eyes you have!"
Wolf: (soft voice) "All the better to see you with."
Little Red: "Oh, and what big teeth you have!"
Wolf: "All the better to eat you with! Ha Ha Ha!"
Narrator: The wolf gobbled up Little Red. The wolf then fell asleep, snoring audibly. Meanwhile, a woodsman was passing by the house, when he hears the snoring. He entered, looking for the old woman when he saw the wolf.
Woodsman: "Oh no! The wolf has eaten grandmother. But he is sleeping."
Narrator: The woodsman grabbed his ax and opened the wolf's stomach, revealing Little Red and grandmother. Who were miraculously still in one piece.
Little Red: "Thank you, kind swordsman!"
Narrator: Little Red went home unscathed. One day, she was told to bring grandmother more bread. On the way, she met a different wolf.
Wolf 2: "Good morning Little Red, where are you off to, this early in the morning."
Little Red: "I'm off to my grandmother's house to deliver her some bread."
Narrator: Little Red ran to her grandmother's house and warned her about the wolf.
Grandmother: "Come, we will shut the door so that he may not get in."
Narrator: Soon after, the wolf came knocking on the door.
Wolf 2 (soft voice): "It's me grandmother, Little Red. I have brought you a basket full of bread."
Narrator: The pair did not answer. After that, the wolf got up the roof to wait until Little Red got home and eat her. Then the grandmother thought of a brilliant idea. She looked at the trough outside, then to Little Red.
Grandmother: "Little Red, I was boiling sausages yesterday. So take the bucket and pour the water in the trough."
Narrator: Little Red followed her instructions. When the smell of the sausages reached the wolf's nose, he snuffed the air. He looked around and he stretched his neck so far that he lost his balance. The wolf fell and drowned in the trough, and Little Red went home unscathed.
THE END.

Esmeralda
In fairy tales and fables today, we finished our retelling of Cinderella. Here is what I wrote.
Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful young woman named Esmeralda. She lived with her generous stepmother and her three horrible and wicked sisters. One afternoon, it was Esmeralda's birthday. Her mother bought her a cheap pair of shoes, and she polished them. The kind Esmeralda adored the gleaming pair of shoes. One day, her greedy sisters found the shoes. They abolished one of her shoes out of her feet as it flung through the air.
Meanwhile, a few kilometres away, the shoe lands on a handsome prince's lap. The prince fell in love with the scent of the shoe. The handsome prince asked his coachman to take him to the village where the shoe came from. They travelled day and night until they finally arrived at their destination.
Everyone bowed as the handsome prince departed his majestic carriage. The prince sniffed everyone's feet. Some have the nasty whiff of blue cheese, and some have the horrendous stench of a skunk. Everyone in the village spectated as the royal sniffed his way through the crowd.
Finally, the handsome prince arrived at Esmeralda's house. He first encountered the ugly sisters, who all claimed to have owned the shoe. The prince sniffed each of their feet. But each of their feet smelled like something abominable. Suddenly, the most sensational smell made its way through the prince's nose. He followed the trail of the smell, which led to an old closet that was bolted, screwed and padlocked shut by the sisters.
Each individual of the village took turns opening the sealed door but to no avail. The prince then ordered his guards to open the door, and eventually, they were successful. They opened the door, and suddenly, a burst of aroma filled the prince's nostrils.
The prince married Esmeralda, and the sisters were banished out of the kingdom. The pair had kids, and they lived happily ever after.
The End.
